A video watermark protects your content from unauthorized reuse and reinforces brand recognition. For YouTube creators, a channel watermark appears on every video as a subscribe button. For course creators and client work, a semi-transparent text watermark across the video deters theft without ruining the viewing experience.
Set opacity to 30-40% for a subtle watermark that does not distract from the video content. Position it in a corner (bottom-right is standard) for single-overlay, or use center position for maximum protection. Adding watermarks to video clips
A watermark can help identify draft videos, brand social clips, or mark review copies before approval. Place the mark where it does not cover faces, captions, product details, or platform interface elements. Lower opacity often looks cleaner than a fully opaque logo, especially on short clips meant for mobile viewing.
